February/March: "At this time"

And then lying in bed before the dawn I heard
the first Robin's song ...
It is Spring!

The Indian Plum
  pushes up her green headdress
and lets fall
her elegant blooms.

Dance ballerina dance.

Buds and blossoms erupt,
colour blooms in the forest,

And under the arbutus lies a rich palette
of red-brown and green .

Red-flower Current is one of the first wild blossoms of Spring ... splashes of crimson in the forest green.

In the city gardens Magnolias are among the first blooms.

On Little Saanich Mountain Mule Deer bucks enjoy the warming days.
